How's it going This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So why would you need this type of cargo carrier Well, my time in customer service, I usually recommend this type of carrier, or this one specifically to people who are primarily carrying wheelchairs due to the ramp. However, it does come in handy for other applications 'cause you can, the ramp can support that full 500 pounds as well, so you'd be able to roll on heavier items, but you can also use it for like your bulkier items that take up a lot of space in your cargo area in your Grand Cherokee. All right, so let's actually get a measurement of the usable space with the ramp in the upright position. So as far as that getting around the post, it's right at 27 and a half and this guy, I'd say right at 47, eh, 47 and three quarters to be conservative with the space. So that's plenty of room to actually tie off. more

Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Lets Go Aero GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier. This is gonna be a hitch mounted cargo box and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. So right off the bat, if you need more cargo space, you want make sure that your cargo is covered and protected, this is gonna be one of the ways you can do that. Now, some of the features here is that instead of tilting away for more access to your hatch, this one actually slides out. So there's a pin here at the end where you just rotate that pin in order to release the slide out arms. It's an anti-rattle bolt, so it will also take a little bit of time before we come out, but once it does, I just hold the box by its handle, lift out and wait. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the etrailer Tilting and Folding Cargo Carrier on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now this cargo carrier is 24 by 60 and that's gonna be large enough to get a lot of your accessories loaded up, whether it be your camping gear, whether it be some home projects, whatever it may be. And the glory of having things stored outside your vehicle is if you are picking up maybe some mulch or dirt or things for your garden, you can have it outside and not have to worry about getting inside of your vehicle dirty. This aluminum cargo carrier is extremely lightweight, but you don't sacrifice on its carrying capacity. It has 500 pounds of carrying capacity. You can see here, there's no problem with me in it. Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the MaxxTow 30 by 50 wheelchair carrier with 48"-long ramp. That part number is MT70106. The first thing we're going to start with is showing a couple of the different features and positions we can put our carrier into. This first position's going to be our loading position. You're going to be able to put whatever you need on your wheelchair carrier, whether that's a wheelchair, scooter, or a lawnmower, any other type of equipment like that. Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're test fit of the Stromberg Carlson 23 by 60 cargo carrier. That partner is C-C dash one zero zero. This is designed to work with two inch hitches only, it has a weight capacity of 500 pounds. I'll note while it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we want to do is take a few measurements here. The bottom of our bolt, we're going to have about 11 inches. Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 28 and a half inches, and our closest point is going to be about four and three quarter inches away. Now on our Grand Cherokee, we do have a single passenger side exhaust. more

Today on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20 by 48 cargo carrier. That part number is C18110. Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a 300 pound weight capacity. Although it does have a weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. First thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here. Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 17-3/4". Now that is because we have a raised shank in back which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. more

Today, on our 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're test fitting the Curt 20 by 60 Folding Cargo Carrier. This cargo carrier will carry up to 500 pounds and it's been designed for use in 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is C18151. You'll see the raised rail all the way around the outside, gives us good front-to-back and side-to-side stability for our gear once loaded up. It's going to be about 5 1/2 inches high. You'll see here, it gives us a lot of nice connection points all the way around there so we can get that gear strapped down securely. The floor of the carrier is going to be a smaller size expanded steel and it'll have areas for moisture, dirt and stuff like that to fall down and through, but it's not so large of an opening that we'll have to worry about smaller stuff. The back side of our carrier, we're going to have about 15 3/4 of an inch worth of ground clearance. more

Today, on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the MaxxTow 30x50 Wheelchair and Scooter Carrier, which has the 48 inch ramp, the part number on it is MT70106. This has a 500 pound capacity, and it's been designed for use in two inch hitches. You see our ramp, good angle on it, it's a nice, sturdy ramp. We're also going to have that large, expanded steel, so even if we've got some dirt and grit on the tires, whether we're hauling our lawnmower, power scooters, wheelchairs, whatever the case may be, any dirt or debris is going to fall right down and out. Also going to have the raised edge all the way around the outside. It's going to be about five inches high, going to to give us good stability, front and back and side to side. You can see there's also a lot of nice large connection points here for our straps or bungees, whatever we're going to be securing the gear with. more

This cargo carrier is designed for use with up to 500 pounds and also on 2 inch hitches. The part number on it is CC-100. I really like this carrier for couple reasons. I like the really large expanded steel on the floor. A lot of dirt and debris is and stuff like that is something I deal with, so that's going to pass down through there without any issue, even some of the bigger rocks. The raised rail is nice. more

Today on our 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we've got out the Curt 20 by 60 cargo carrier and we're test fitting it. Now this cargo carrier is designed to carry up to 500 pounds and for use with 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is C18150. Now the carrier is going to have the kind of you'd consider kind of the medium size expanded steel, it's going to give us good surface area for items to rest on but any moisture, dirt, and debris should fall right down and out of there. We'll also going to have a raised edge that goes all the way around the outside and it's about 5 1/2 inches tall and once our gear is in there, it's going to keep it from moving around too much front to back or side to side. It also gives us some good connection points around here for our straps and we've got a few reflectors back here on each side just to help with visibility. Now the Curt has a rise in the shank that lends to really good ground clearance here in the back. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee C18150- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're doing a test fit of the CURT 20x60 Cargo Carrier. That part number is C18150. This carrier has a five hundred pound weight capacity, and this is designed to work with two-inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance here is going to be about fourteen and three-quarter inches. That's because we have that nice raised shank in the back, which is going to lift your cargo carrier even higher than your hitch. Overall to the back of the vehicle we're adding about twenty nine and a half inches. more

Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we are doing a test fit of a Carpod, walled, cargo carrier. It is 23 by 47 inches, and is designed to work with two inch hitches. The weight capacity on this is 450 pounds. The first thing we are going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is going to be about 18 inches. That's because on the back here we have got that nice raised shank. That is going to lift the cargo carrier even higher than your hitch. more

Stromberg Carlson Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're doing a test fit of the Stromberg-Carlson 23x60 Cargo Carrier. This part number is CC-100. It has a 500 pound weight capacity and is designed to work with 2 inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance here to the bottom of this bolt is going to be about 10 1/2 inches there. Overall, to the back of the vehicle, we're adding about 28 inches, and our closest point is going to be about 4 1/2 inches away there. Now with our Grand Cherokee, we have dual exhaust. It comes just about straight out on either side, and it's about 8 1/2 inches away, so just be aware if you want to carry any heat-sensitive materials to avoid this region and the same region on the other side. Next thing we'll check is our hatch clearance. more

Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're taking a look at the Let's Go Arrow Gear Cage. This is a forty eight inch by thirty two inch cargo carrier. This thing is capable of hauling up to three hundred pounds and they've designed it for use in two inch hitches. The part number on it is HCR222. SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SR9849- Video
Today on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're taking a look at the SportRack Vista. This is a 20x60 cargo carrier designed for use with up to five hundred pounds and with two inch hitches. Part Number on it is SR9849. The SportRack Vista is a nice secure sturdy cargo carrier as opposed to the cargo carriers that are often secured with just the pin and clip. This one uses an anti-rattle bolt and you can see even with a hundred pounds that we've got it loaded down with today, as you're heading down the road, it's going to be nice and steady. It's going to have that nice sturdy steel construction with a 300 pound weight capacity. It's also going to come with that 2" shank for your 2" receivers only and attach with an anti-rattle bolt to limit the sway, rattle, and wobble that you would normally have. SportRack Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we're going to be doing a test fit of the SportRack vista cargo carrier. This is going to be your 20 inch wide by 60 inch long cargo carrier that's going to have that nice expanded metal base for easy clean-ability and a sturdy steal construction that's going to offer that 500 pound weight capacity. It's also going to come with the folding shank, as well, to tuck up nicely against the back of the vehicle, and the two inch shank that attached to our two inch receiver via an anti-rattle bolt down here. Let's go ahead and go over a few things, starting with our measurements. This is going to be part number SR9851. Our closest distance will be from the bracket here to the back side of the bumper, at about 9 and 3/4 inches. Overall distance that we've added to the vehicle, it's going to be about 37 and 7/8ths inches with a rear ground clearance of about 17 1/4 inches. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we're going to be doing a test fit of the 27" by 47" MaxxTow Cargo Carrier. This is going to have that 60" aluminum pivoting ramp that's going to come out and away from the vehicle. It's going to offer a 500 pound weight capacity. It's also going to come with your 2" shank for your 2" receivers only and attach using a hitch pin and clip as well as an anti-tilt device that you see here with two 5/8" bolts underneath that secure it and keep the anti rattle to a minimum. It's going to be part number MT70275. Let' start off by getting a few measurements. Our closest distance will be our first measurement, from the back side of the bumper to the front side of the rack, at about 3-5/8". more
